Stefan Vöth

Prof. Stefan Vöth is a Professor of Machine Elements, Conveyor Systems, and Design Engineering at Technische Hochschule Georg Agricola (THGA), where he also serves as Head of the PROLAB Product+Production Laboratory and the Drive and Conveyor Technology Laboratory. He held leadership roles as Rector (2005-2006) and Vice President (2006-2012) at THGA, and is an Honorary Professor at KusSTU. His expertise spans crane technology, structural engineering, and dynamic systems simulation.

Research focuses include lifting technology, drive systems, and compliance verification with standards like DIN EN 13001-1. He leads projects in brake system design, hoist simulation, and structural validation. Active in professional organizations, he chairs VDI FA 304 (Cranes) and serves on editorial boards of IJOMAM and TSIB.

Teaching areas include machine elements, construction engineering, and conveyor systems. His industry collaborations emphasize practical applications of mechanical engineering principles, informed by decades of crane industry experience.
