Stefan Schumacher

Stefan Schumacher is Professor of Theoretical Physics at Paderborn University, leading the Theory of Functional Photonic Structures group. His research explores ultrafast quantum photonics, polariton condensates, and solid-state quantum light sources through advanced theoretical modeling.

As Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science and principal investigator in multiple collaborative centers, he advances research on quantum nonlinearities and photon pair generation. He holds adjunct appointments at the University of Arizona and received prestigious awards including the DFG Heisenberg Professorship.
