Stefan Pellmaier serves as a Lecturer at the Chair of Music Education and Music Didactics within the Faculty of Philosophy, Arts, History and Social Sciences at the University of Regensburg since 2020, while concurrently working as a full-time music teacher at KRvF-Gymnasium Moosburg since 2008 and maintaining an active career as a freelance musician, composer, and producer.

Pellmaier's professional focus centers on Music Education for primary schools, Bavarian folk music innovation, and percussion mastery. He pioneers the fusion of traditional Bavarian sounds with South American rhythms, African influences, funk, Latin, classical, and jazz elements, creating genre-defying performances that preserve cultural roots while embracing global musical dialogues.
His scientific recognition includes:
- Tassilo Prize winner of the Süddeutsche Zeitung with "Luz Amoi"
- Cultural award winner of the district of Freising
As a performing artist, Pellmaier leads multiple ensembles:
- "Luz Amoi" (musical head and percussionist)

- "Austria 4+" (percussion and Ziachn specialist)
