Professor Stefan Kröll is a leading academic and practitioner in international dispute resolution, currently serving as Professor for International Dispute Resolution at the University of Hamburg’s School of Law and Director of the Center for International Dispute Resolution. He also holds a visiting professorship at the School of International Arbitration, CCLS (Queen Mary, University of London), and has advised governmental organizations such as GIZ, IRZ, and USAID internationally.

- UNCITRAL expert for the Digest on the Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration
- Visiting Fellow at NYU School of Law and Cambridge University
His research focuses on national and international arbitration, procedural law, contract law, and investment protection. He has acted as arbitrator or emergency arbitrator in over 90 cases and authored internationally recognized monographs, treatises, and articles in arbitration and international business law.

He is actively engaged in academic associations like the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS) and German-British Lawyers’ Association.
