Stefan Kühl

Professor Stefan Kühl holds the Professorship for Organizational Sociology at Bielefeld University's Faculty of Sociology. He studied sociology, history, and economics at Bielefeld University, Johns Hopkins University, Université Paris-X-Nanterre, and University of Oxford. Kühl completed his doctorate at Bielefeld University and habilitation at University of Munich.

Research focuses on social theory, organizational sociology, and historical analyses of organizational systems. Current projects examine: genocide and organizational structures; relationships between movements, groups and organizations; organizational culture theory; public-private cooperation models; privatization in developing countries; and paradoxes in temporary organizations. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with empirical investigations of organizational behavior.
