Stefan Hecht

Prof. Stefan Hecht is a renowned chemist and current Einstein Professor at Humboldt University Berlin, specializing in photoresponsive materials and supramolecular systems. His academic journey includes roles such as Chair of Organic Chemistry (2006–2019) and Scientific Director at the Leibniz Institute for Interactive Materials (2019–2022). He holds a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and has been recognized with prestigious awards like the Sofja Kovalevskaja Prize (2001) and MIT TR35 (2004).

Research focuses on designing light-sensitive materials for optoelectronics, photomedicine, and 3D printing.
