معرفی
Maria Anita Rampi is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Ferrara, specializing in inorganic chemistry and nanostructured materials. She teaches and conducts groundbreaking research on supramolecular systems, photochemistry, and molecular electronics. Her work focuses on photoinduced energy/electron transfer in donor-bridge-acceptor systems and molecular junctions. She has held visiting professorships at the Max Planck Institute (Göttingen) and Harvard University.
Her research explores light-powered molecular switches, plasmonic nanostructures for biosensors, and self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) for electronic applications. Recent projects include developing azobenzene-based semiconducting compounds for organic transistors, leveraging photoisomerization to achieve functional electrical switching.
Rampi collaborates internationally, with key contributions to Nature Materials, JACS, and Angewandte Chemie. Her FRIAS project aims to enhance organic semiconductors by integrating photoswitchable azobenzene compounds for advanced electronic devices.
