Stefan Dekker is a Professor of Global Ecohydrology and Sustainability and Research Director at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University. He holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of Amsterdam and has held academic roles including Director of Research and Education in Sustainable Development within the Faculty of Geosciences. His research focuses on understanding feedbacks between soil, vegetation, atmosphere, and climate, with contributions to sustainability science through interdisciplinary approaches.
