معرفی
Prof. Dr. Stefan Debener is a Full Professor of Neuropsychology at the Department of Psychology, Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Germany. His research focuses on understanding the brain-behavior relationship, particularly in sensory deprivation, compensatory mechanisms, and multisensory integration (e.g., vision and hearing). He employs non-invasive neuroimaging techniques including high-density EEG, MEG, fMRI, and concurrent EEG-fMRI to study human brain function and error prediction in cognitive tasks.

Research Themes
Debener investigates how the brain adapts to sensory loss (e.g., deafness) to enhance rehabilitation strategies and explores how multisensory information is integrated to form coherent perceptions. His work also addresses error prediction in simple tasks through brain signal analysis.
Editorial & Professional Engagements
He serves as Associate Editor of Psychophysiology (since 2009) and on the Editorial Board of Brain Topography (since 2010). He is affiliated with professional societies including the Society for Neuroscience and the Society for Psychophysiological Research.
