Stefan Bratzel is a Professor and founder of the Center of Automotive Management (CAM) at FHDW University of Applied Sciences in Bergisch Gladbach. He studied Political Science at Freie Universität Berlin (1988-1993) and earned his Ph.D. in 1998 with a focus on environmental policy and transportation. Since 2004, he has served as a lecturer and program director for Automotive Management at FHDW, while leading CAM as its director.

Bratzel's research focuses on Automotive Management, Sustainable Mobility, and Transportation Policy, integrating insights from environmental economics and business administration. His work emphasizes the future of automotive mobility and eco-friendly transportation strategies.
He received the Preis der Stiftung der deutschen Städte, Gemeinden und Kreise for his dissertation on environmental traffic policy. Prior to academia, he held roles as Produktmanager at DaimlerChrysler, Program Manager at Telefonica/Sonera JV Quam, and Head of Automotive Business Development at PTV AG.
Bratzel directs the Center of Automotive Management (CAM), a hub for research on automotive industry trends and sustainable mobility solutions.
