Stavros Garoufalidis

Stavros Garoufalidis is a Chair Professor at the Department of Mathematics within the Faculty of Science at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). He is a leading researcher in low-dimensional topology, quantum geometry, and mathematical physics, with a focus on the interplay between knot invariants, hyperbolic geometry, and quantum field theory.

• Research Focus: Colored Jones polynomials, Volume Conjecture, resurgence theory, Chern-Simons theory, and applications to 3-manifolds.
