His educational background includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Utah
- MBA with emphasis in Finance from the University of Utah
He subsequently returned to the University of Utah as a teaching fellow in real estate investment and appraisal. Karras' professional expertise centers on Real Estate with specialized focus on Investment and Appraisal, underpinned by strong Finance foundations from his academic training. His work bridges theoretical knowledge with industry practice through the Burnham-Moores Center, emphasizing practical applications in real estate markets.
As Executive Director, Karras actively mentors real estate students to enhance career opportunities and develops comprehensive fundraising strategies to sustain center operations.
