Stanton E.F. Wortham is the inaugural Charles F. Donovan, S.J., Dean of Boston College's Lynch School of Education and Human Development. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from Swarthmore College. His research focuses on discourse analysis, linguistic anthropology of education, identity formation, and the New Latino diaspora. He has authored or edited over 10 books and 100+ articles, including Migration Narratives: Diverging Stories in Schools, Churches, and Civic Institutions (2020) and Learning Identity: The Joint Emergence of Social Identification and Academic Learning (2006).
