معرفی
Dr Stanley Strawbridge is a Group Leader and Early Career Research Fellow in the Physics of Life and Quantitative Biology program at the School of Biosciences, University of Sheffield, UK (2025–present). He previously held a Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellowship (2022–2025) and a Post-Doctoral Research Associate position (2018–2022) at the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute, University of Cambridge, UK. His interdisciplinary research integrates molecular biology, advanced imaging, sequencing, and computational modeling to study stem cell decision-making, signaling gradients in embryos, and transcription factor networks governing cell states.
- Dual expertise in biochemistry and mathematics
- Focus on early human development and developmental disorders
- Collaborative approach spanning empirical, computational, and theoretical methods
His lab develops computational tools for quantifying biological systems and investigates cell population dynamics, morphogen gradients in dense tissues, and aneuploidy impacts. Awards include the Sir Henry Wellcome Fellowship and memberships in the Royal Society of Biology and British Society for Developmental Biology. Prospective students/postdocs can apply for competitive fellowships (e.g., EMBO, Wellcome, Marshall Sherfield) or reach out directly for project discussions.
