Stanley Baiman is a Distinguished Affiliate Professor at ESMT Berlin and the William H. Lawrence Emeritus Professor at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He holds a PhD from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and a BS from The Ohio State University. His research focuses on incentive mechanisms in firms and supply chains, including capital budgeting, internal transfer pricing, inventory buffers, and supply chain contracting. He has published extensively in journals like Journal of Accounting Research and Management Science.
Stanley has received prestigious awards, including the 2014 Lifetime Contribution Award from the American Accounting Association. He served as Managing Editor of The Review of Accounting Studies and contributed to editorial boards of top accounting journals. His teaching spans doctoral, MBA, and executive education programs in financial and managerial accounting.
Prior roles include faculty positions at Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh, and adjunct roles at Bocconi University. He has also held visiting positions at Stanford University and the London School of Economics.
