Stanislaw Jerzak is a Full Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at York University, holding a teaching-stream appointment. He serves as Coordinator of the First Year Laboratory within the department. His research focuses on ferroelectric and ferroelastic materials, particularly using Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy to study structural phase transitions. Recent work explores super-protonic phases with applications in fuel cells and sensors. He is also active in physics education research, investigating online learning and undergraduate laboratory pedagogy.
Professor Jerzak's research is experimental in nature and affiliated with the Keele, Glendon, and Markham campuses. He can be contacted at jerzak@yorku.ca or via his office in 233 Petrie Science & Engineering Building. His work bridges chemical physics and materials science, emphasizing both theoretical and applied aspects of condensed matter systems.
