Stanislaw Deja

Stanislaw Deja is an Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, leading the Deja Lab within the Department of Biochemistry. He holds a Ph.D. from Opole University/Wroclaw University of Technology (Poland) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UT Southwestern under Dr. Shawn Burgess. His research focuses on metabolomics and fluxomics to study metabolic regulation in obesity, diabetes, and exercise-related conditions. Dr. Deja pioneered NMR-based metabolomics platforms and developed computational tools like INCA 2.0 for metabolic flux analysis. He has received the Robert A. Welch Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship. His lab integrates analytical chemistry, NMR/MS techniques, and mathematical modeling to understand metabolic pathways in health and disease.

Key projects include studying ketogenesis, gluconeogenesis, and lipid metabolism in humans and mouse models.
