Stanislav Venglevski is a Lecturer in the Music Department at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. A Moldovan-born virtuoso of the Bayan, he is celebrated for his technical mastery and artistic sensitivity. He holds a Master of Music from the Russian Academy of Music in Moscow, studying under Friedrich Lips. His career spans performances across the former Soviet Union, Canada, Europe, and the U.S., collaborating with orchestras like the Milwaukee Symphony and Chicago Symphony, as well as artists such as Doc Severinsen and Garrison Keillor.

Research interests include Bayan performance, music composition, and cross-cultural musical traditions. His work encompasses original compositions, transcriptions (e.g., Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite), and arrangements bridging classical, contemporary, and ethnic genres. He has produced 15 albums and authored published music collections.
He founded the Accordion XXI Century Series (2010), showcasing global accordion artists to Midwest audiences. His performances blend technical brilliance with engaging entertainment, often featuring collaborations with other instruments.

As an educator, he mentors students in Bayan and accordion techniques. His community engagement includes participation in the Milwaukee Symphony’s Arts in Community Education Program.
