Distinguished Professor Stan Grant Jnr FASSA is the Director of Yindyamarra Nguluway at Charles Sturt University, where he explores Indigenous issues in the context of national and global politics. He also held the Professor of Global Affairs role at Griffith University and the Vice-Chancellor’s Chair of Australian-Indigenous Belonging at Charles Sturt University.
- Education: PhD in Theology (2024) from Charles Sturt University.
Grant’s research spans Indigenous rights, social justice, reconciliation, and theology, rooted in Wiradjuri cultural and historical contexts. His recent publications, including books and peer-reviewed chapters, examine democracy, colonialism, faith, and national identity.
Scientific Awards:
- Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia (2023)
As a journalist and public intellectual, Grant has authored eight acclaimed books and contributed to national and international media. His work challenges Australia to confront its history while envisioning an inclusive future.
