Stacy Stokes Batts

Stacy Stokes Batts is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the School of Social Work at Texas State University. She holds BSW and MSW degrees from Texas State and maintains LMSW and LCDC licenses.

With 26 years of practice experience, her clinical work focuses on substance abuse treatment, mental health, family systems, and grief counseling across nonprofit and academic settings. She previously served as BSW Associate Program Director (2020-2023) and has worked in Student Affairs addressing substance abuse education and student retention.

Community involvement includes founding advisory for The Echoes A Cappella Group and ethics consultation for Dancing Moose Productions.
