Stacia Gordon is a Professor in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno. Her research focuses on the thermal, chemical, and rheologic changes in Earth's lithosphere driven by plate-tectonic processes. She investigates deformation, recrystallization, melting, and fluid infiltration across crustal scales using metamorphic petrology, geochronology, and geochemistry. Her field and lab studies span regions like the North Cascades (USA), Western Gneiss Region (Norway), Papua New Guinea, and Bhutan.
