معرفی
Stéphane Vuilleumier is a Professor at the University of Strasbourg, leading the AIME (Adaptations et interactions microbiennes dans l'environnement) research team in the UMR 7156 CNRS unit. Affiliated with the Faculty of Life Sciences, he has been a faculty member since 2002 and coordinates interdisciplinary Master programs.
- PhD, University of Basel (1990-1993)
- Postdoctoral training at ETH Zurich and Cambridge Center for Protein Engineering
His research focuses on comparative genomics of bacterial C1 metabolism, dehalogenative metabolism, microbial diversity in polluted environments, bioremediation of halogenated pollutants, and microbial glutathione S-transferases. Recent work includes chloromethane degradation in tree ferns, biohydrogen production from coffee waste, and isotope fractionation studies.
The 15 most recent articles highlight trends in dichloromethane biodegradation, chlorinated pollutant monitoring, genome sequencing of degrading bacteria, and biohydrogen from dark fermentation. Key subfields include microbial defluorination, transcriptional regulation, soil ecotoxicology, and membrane bioreactor engineering.
