Dr. Srishti Sardana is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), part of the College of Letters & Science. She holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University (2022) and focuses on global mental health in humanitarian crises, interlinkages of non-communicable diseases with mental health, and culturally adapted psychotherapies. Her research emphasizes vulnerable populations such as trafficking survivors, refugees, and displaced communities.

- Global mental health in emergency settings
- Mental health integration within non-specialist systems
- Transdiagnostic psychotherapies (e.g., CETA, IPT)
- Reduction of gender-based violence
- Social network methodologies for health determinants
Her mhSEVA Lab partners with UN agencies, NGOs, and governments to advance measurement in psychotherapy outcomes and build global mental health capacity. She is recruiting a Clinical PhD student for Fall 2025 admissions.
