Dr. Srinivas Mettu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at Khalifa University, where he has been employed since January 2023. His expertise spans both applied and fundamental research in chemical engineering.

His work includes precision fermentation for cow-less milk production and bioreactor design for probiotics and sanitation solutions.
His funded projects include three Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Grand Challenges Explorations (GCE) awards for innovative biomaterials and bioreactor systems. Dr. Mettu mentors PhD and Master's students, including Aiza Gay Lapurga Corpuz, Manideep Pabba, and Sachini Upeka Perera.
He is affiliated with the Center for Membranes and Advanced Water Technology and the Research and Innovation Center on CO2 and Hydrogen, driving interdisciplinary research in sustainability and biotechnology.
