Srini Vasudevan is an Assistant Instructional Professor in the Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics at the University of Chicago, affiliated with The College. His research focuses on development economics, political economy, and the intersection of mass media/social networks with technology adoption, politics, and health. He emphasizes modern pedagogical practices in teaching microeconomics, econometrics, and development economics.
Education: Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics (University of Wisconsin–Madison), M.R.P. in City & Regional Planning (Cornell University), B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (Vellore Institute of Technology).
Recent publications analyze voter behavior in anti-corruption campaigns via radio experiments in India and the role of radio in technology diffusion during India’s Green Revolution. His work appears in Journal of Development Economics and World Development.
