Srinath Raghavan is a Professor of International Relations and History at Ashoka University and a Nonresident Senior Fellow at Carnegie India. His career spans academia, policy advisory, and military service. He focuses on contemporary and historical aspects of India's foreign and security policies, with expertise in strategic studies, modern South Asian history, and geopolitical analysis.
- Education: BSc from Madras University, MA and PhD from King's College London.
Research Interests include India's strategic history, U.S.-India-China dynamics, and South Asian security. He has authored influential books such as War and Peace in Modern India (2010), 1971: A Global History of the Creation of Bangladesh (2013), and The Most Dangerous Place: A History of the United States in South Asia (2018).
