Sridhar Narasimhan

Sridhar Narasimhan is a Professor of IT Management and the Gregory J. Owens Professor at the Scheller College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology. He serves as Co-Director of the Business Analytics Center (BAC), a key hub that collaborates with industry leaders through its Executive Council and supports undergraduate, MBA, and MS Analytics programs. He has played pivotal leadership roles, including Acting Dean in 2010 and Senior Associate Dean from 2007 to 2015.

Education:

• Ph.D., Ohio State University

His research and teaching focus on business analytics, information systems design, and IT management. He has developed and taught the MBA IT Practicum and has been instructing business analytics courses to undergraduate and MBA students since 2016. His work emphasizes practical applications of analytics through student practicums and industry partnerships.

The Business Analytics Center under his co-leadership has achieved national recognition, with Scheller’s undergraduate and MBA analytics programs consistently ranked among the top in the U.S., including #1 among public universities. Recent initiatives highlight mobile data and digital inequality, showcasing the societal impact of analytics research.
