Dr. Souvik Chakraborty is a Lecturer in Human Geography and Course Director of the Master of International Development Practice at Monash University's Faculty of Arts. His research bridges Anthropology, Sociology, and Human Geography, focusing on resource extraction politics, indigenous geographies, and contentious development practices in India. He holds a Ph.D. from Monash University (2022), an MA from the University of Osnabrück (DAAD Scholar), and a BA from Jadavpur University.
