M.Tech. Soumya S. Panda is affiliated with the University of Siegen's Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology, specifically within the Chair of Analogue Circuits and Image Sensors. Previously, he served as Assistant Professor at KIIT University's School of Electronics Engineering (since 2014) and held a Research Engineer position at National University of Singapore (2017-2018). His academic background includes a B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from National Institute of Science and Technology (India) and an M.Tech in VLSI Design from Vellore Institute of Technology (India).
Research focuses on CMOS Image Sensors, SPAD detectors for low-light imaging, ultra-low-power circuit design for IoT/wearables, energy efficiency in near-threshold circuits, and emerging technologies like FinFET-based systems. Notable contributions include projects on MIMO FPGA implementations (DST-funded, 2011-2012) and ultra-low-power Tunnel FET memory cell design (ISEP, 2013-2014).
Publications span topics from amplifier design to energy recovery logic, with recent work emphasizing green computing and scalable analog front-ends for IoT applications. His work bridges foundational analog circuit research with applied systems for emerging technologies.
