Sotiria Kechagia

Sotiria Kechagia (Ria) is a scientific collaborator at the Center for Digital Trust (C4DT) at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), working under Prof. Jacques de Werra's team in intellectual property law and digital law (cybersecurity). She previously served as a legal advisor at a specialized intellectual property law firm (2017–2018) and conducted part-time research at ETH Zurich's Health, Ethics and Policy Lab (2018).

Ria holds a LL.M. in International Intellectual Property from Queen Mary, University of London (2007), following undergraduate studies in Law at the University of Athens. Her research focuses on data protection and intellectual property, particularly in health data, emerging technologies, and medical innovation frameworks.

Her work bridges legal frameworks with digital trust challenges, addressing interdisciplinary topics such as cybersecurity compliance, health data governance, and IP rights in biomedical advancements.
