Sosheel Godfrey

Sosheel Godfrey is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Agricultural, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences (SAEVS) at Charles Sturt University (CSU), based in Wagga Wagga. He holds a PhD (2016) and M.Sc. in Economics, specializing in policy-focused research on Farm Economics, Agribusiness Value Chains, and Consumer Choice. His academic role involves teaching large service subjects, curriculum development, student assessment, and research supervision. He currently supervises four PhD students and has previously mentored multiple honours and master’s students.

Research interests span farm risk analysis, agribusiness value chains, and consumer behavior. He has secured AUD 1.3 million in competitive grants, including leadership in the SOIL CRC project. Collaborations include institutions like NMBU (Norway), Harper Adams University (UK), and COMSATS University (Pakistan). His work addresses topics such as regenerative agriculture sustainability, organic fertilizer feasibility, and smallholder livelihoods in Malawi.

Teaching emphasizes linking academic theory with industry-ready skills. He coordinates key subjects, revises course materials, and contributes to SAEVS curriculum innovation. Notable publications include studies on sheep production systems, regenerative farming frameworks, and halal meat consumer behavior in Norway.
