Sophie Dannecker

Sophie Dannecker is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Private International and Comparative Law at the University of Bonn. Her research focuses on Private International Law, Family Law, and Data Protection Law, with additional interests in Copyright Law and General Personality Rights. She is currently completing her PhD in these fields under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Susanne Lilian Gössl.

• Education: Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn (Law studies with a focus on International Private Law and Comparative Law, 1st State Examination 2018); University of Passau (Law studies, Intermediate Legal Examination 2013).

Research Interests: Sophie's work addresses the legal implications of digital transformation in family law, non-binary gender recognition in Germany, and cross-jurisdictional harmonization of family law. Her studies integrate comparative legal analysis and cultural perspectives.
