معرفی
Sophie Crouch is a Research Fellow at the School of Ocean Sciences, Bangor University. Her work focuses on marine top predators and the environmental impacts of offshore wind energy in the North Sea. She holds a BSc in Oceanography from the University of Southampton (2013-2016) and an MSc in Marine Environmental Protection from Bangor University (2019-2020).
- Education:
- BSc Oceanography, University of Southampton (2013–2016)
- MSc Marine Environmental Protection, Bangor University (2019–2020)
Her research investigates how wind farm developments affect marine predator distributions using large-scale datasets and species distribution models. This work is funded by the INSITE PhD Scholarship Programme and contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to marine conservation and sustainable energy.
Key research areas include biophysical links between environmental changes and predator communities, with a focus on cetaceans, seabirds, and fish populations.
- Grants: INSITE PhD Scholarship Programme
Her expertise bridges marine ecology, renewable energy impacts, and conservation biology, with applications for the offshore wind sector.
