Dr. Sophie Carter
Dr. Sophie Carter is a Senior Lecturer at York St John University, affiliated with the School of Science, Technology and Health. She holds a PhD in Sport and Exercise Science from Liverpool John Moores University and leads the Physical Activity and Cardiovascular Health (PAtCH) research group. Her research focuses on physical activity, sedentary behavior, and their impacts on cardiovascular and mental health, with a particular emphasis on interventions to mitigate sedentary-related risks.
