Sophia G. Saeed

Sophia G. Saeed is the Associate Dean of Clinic Operations and Quality of Care and a Clinical Professor at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine. She holds a D.M.D. from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and an M.B.A., with post-doctoral training in a hospital-based general practice residency at UCSF. Her career includes roles as Department Chair at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Associate Dean for Patient Care at UTHealth School of Dentistry, and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at UConn Health.

Her clinical focus centers on managing patients with complex medical, cognitive, and social needs, alongside evidence-based, prevention-focused minimally-invasive dental practices. Research interests include optimizing academic and healthcare environments to enhance productivity and outcomes. She actively contributes to the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and serves as a site visitor for the Commission on Dental Accreditation.

Dr. Saeed has been recognized with multiple professional honors, including membership in prestigious dental academies and awards for teaching and clinical excellence. Outside academia, she enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and road cycling.
