Soowon Chang is an Assistant Professor at the School of Construction Management Technology within the Purdue Polytechnic Institute. She holds a Ph.D. in Building Construction from Georgia Institute of Technology and multiple degrees from Ewha Womans University in South Korea. Her research focuses on smart cities, energy infrastructure transitions, generative design systems, and social equity in urban development. She teaches courses in BIM, sustainability, and construction management.

She has secured grants from NSF, INDOT, and Purdue internal funds for projects addressing energy equity, EV infrastructure, and construction safety.
