Soon Hon Cheong, DVM, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Chief of the Section of Theriogenology (Reproductive Medicine) at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he also serves as Cornell Equine Park Faculty Director. He holds a Diplomate certification from the American College of Theriogenologists and leads the Cheong Laboratory focused on comparative reproductive medicine.
His research spans multiple disciplines within reproductive science, with particular emphasis on postpartum ovarian and uterine health, epidemiology, regenerative medicine, microfluidics, and assisted reproductive techniques. The comparative nature of his work bridges basic science discoveries in laboratory species to clinical veterinary practice, different domestic species and wildlife, and human reproductive medicine.
