Dr. Soohyun Jeon is a Lecturer in Information Systems at Brunel Business School, Brunel University London, within the College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Korea University Business School and previously served at KIMEP University in Kazakhstan for three years.

- Socio-technical Systems and Behavioral Information Systems
His research focuses on understanding user emotions and motivations in security compliance, leveraging both quantitative and qualitative methods. Recent work applies fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to examine benign envy on social media and explores empowerment as a driver for security policy adherence.
Publication Trends: His recent publications (2015–2024) center on behavioral aspects of cybersecurity, particularly employee compliance with information security policies, emotional reactions (e.g., frustration, envy), and the role of empowerment and intrinsic motivation. These appear in journals like Behaviour & Information Technology, Information Technology & People, and ACM SIGMIS Database, as well as top-tier conferences including HICSS, PACIS, and Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences.

Research Grants and Projects: He is involved in an ESRC-funded project titled Computational analytics for Cyber-bullying Behaviour in Online Communities, which aims to model cyberbullying using computational techniques.
