Sony Stephen is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the University of the West of England, Bristol, within the College of Business and Law and the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance. She has over 11 years of teaching experience and serves as a Link Tutor for Villa College in the Maldives and BIBM in Colombo.

She investigates systemic risk propagation mechanisms and structural weaknesses in global financial systems, with complementary expertise in Management Accounting methodologies for organizational decision-making.
