Sonia Moran Panero is a Lecturer at the University of Southampton, affiliated with the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics. She is a member of the Centre for Global Englishes and the Centre for Linguistics, Language Education and Acquisition Research. Her research examines the sociolinguistic dimensions of global English use, focusing on language ideologies, identity negotiations, and translanguaging practices in multilingual educational contexts. She completed her ESRC-funded PhD in Applied Linguistics (2016) and MA (2009) at the University of Southampton, following a BA in English Philology from the Universidad de Salamanca, Spain.
