Dr. Sonali Kudva serves as an Assistant Professor of Communication and Media within the Communication, Composition and Rhetoric Division at Methodist University's College of Arts, Humanities & Sciences. She holds a B.A. and B.C.J. from Fergusson College, University of Pune, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Kent State University.
Her research centers on digital media's cultural impacts, with primary focus on social media dynamics, misinformation/disinformation campaigns, information behavior, and artificial intelligence's role in communication practices. She also investigates traditional frameworks like the Natyashastra in contemporary Bollywood narratives, bridging cultural heritage with modern media analysis.
Dr. Kudva's publication trajectory reveals evolving expertise from foundational e-book studies to cutting-edge research on government data governance, academic social networking dynamics, and pandemic-era media consumption patterns. Her work consistently examines technology's societal implications across diverse contexts including China's urban development, global disinformation campaigns, and scholarly communication practices.
