Solomon Hsiang is Professor of Environmental Social Sciences and Director of the Global Policy Laboratory at Stanford University's Doerr School of Sustainability. He integrates econometrics, spatial data science, and machine learning to address global resource management challenges. Previously faculty at UC Berkeley and Chief Environmental Economist at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (2023-24), he co-founded the Climate Impact Lab and mosaiks.org.
