Solene Hameau is an Honorary Associate Lecturer in the School of Psychological Sciences at Macquarie University, affiliated with the Department of Linguistics and the Centre for Reading. Her research focuses on aphasia, semantics, speech disorders, and cognitive linguistics. She has contributed to studies on lexical decision-making, emotion word processing, and neurolinguistic mechanisms underlying language errors in neurological conditions.
Key research interests include exploring how cognition interacts with language deficits in aphasia, context availability in lexical processing, and neural activation patterns during word recognition. Her work often employs methodologies such as systematic reviews and experimental designs to investigate language disorders and their broader cognitive implications.
