Bianca De Wit is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the School of Psychological Sciences, Macquarie University, affiliated with the Centre for Reading. She specializes in cognitive psychology, neurolinguistics, and neuroscience, with a focus on word recognition, bilingualism, and EEG applications.
Her research explores semantic processing, attentional mechanisms, and cognitive control using EEG techniques. Notable projects include investigations into reading automaticity, brain health assessment in sports, and neurogaming technologies for education. She has received awards such as the Dean’s Citation for Innovation in Teaching (2016) and Best ECR poster (2017).
Her recent work examines cross-language morphological effects in bilinguals and unconscious attentional bias in gastrointestinal disorders. She collaborates internationally and has been featured in media for her concussion assessment research using modified gaming headsets.
