Soledad Ferreras Mencía

Dr. Soledad Ferreras Mencía is an Associate Professor at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, affiliated with the Escuela Universitaria de Enfermería y Fisioterapia. She holds a Doctorate in Education and Research Methodology from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (2014), a specialization in Clinical Genetics from the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares (1995), and a Biological Sciences degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1986). With 37 years of teaching experience, she focuses on health statistics, biochemistry, and research methodology in health sciences.

Her research interests include health education, statistical tools in healthcare, and quality of life improvement. She has contributed to projects like a gamified physical education program and studies on choral singing’s impact on well-being. She also directs courses on healthcare coding and research methodology.

Dr. Ferreras is a member of the ‘Bienestar, salud y sociedad’ research group and has led projects on infection control and music therapy. She currently serves as Director of the Centro de Formación Profesional Sociosanitaria San Juan de Dios.
