Sokratis Stergiadis

Sokratis Stergiadis is a Professor in the Department of Animal Science within the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences at Newcastle University. His research focuses on sustainable livestock systems, particularly in dairy and ruminant nutrition, with an emphasis on reducing environmental impacts such as methane emissions and improving milk quality through alternative feeding strategies.

His research interests span animal nutrition, dairy science, methane mitigation, organic and low-input farming systems, and the use of seaweed, insects, and agro-industrial by-products as novel feed ingredients.
