Dr. Sojen Pradhan is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Professional Practice and Leadership, University of Technology Sydney (UTS), with over 25 years of teaching experience. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and an MBA from UTS. His teaching focuses on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Business Intelligence, and Information Systems, emphasizing sustainability and real-world industry connections. He pioneered an industry mentoring program, linking students with professionals to bridge theory and practice.
His research explores social innovation, digital platforms, and community development, addressing issues like rural tourism, education in developing countries, and work-integrated learning models. He founded the AusLEAP volunteering program, connecting international students with community organizations. Key funded projects include enhancing volunteering placements for international students and exploring ICT adoption in disaster management.
Dr. Pradhan’s work spans 69 publications, with recent focus on GIS applications in WASH, XAI frameworks in education, and sustainable tourism platforms. His grants include projects on social entrepreneurship, mentoring in project-based learning, and Fin-tech innovations.
