Sohyung Cho is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Kennesaw State University (KSU). With over 20 years of teaching experience and 7 years in industry, he is a respected educator and researcher in Industrial and Biomedical Engineering.
- Education: B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University; Ph.D. in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
Research Focus: Cho specializes in analyzing occupational ergonomic risks, robotics, and applying machine learning/data mining techniques to industrial and biomedical challenges. His work spans diverse settings like general surgery and industrial environments.
Prior Leadership: Before joining KSU in 2023, he chaired the Industrial Engineering Department at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), where he expanded enrollment, enhanced diversity, and established student scholarships and global partnerships.
