Soheil Saraji is an Associate Professor in Energy & Petroleum Engineering and Richard and Marilyn Lynch Non-endowed Chair in Subsurface Energy and Digital Innovation at the University of Wyoming's College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. He also holds an adjunct position at the School of Energy Resources. His research focuses on Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), geochemistry, carbon storage, and blockchain applications in energy. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wyoming in 2013 after completing M.S. and B.S. degrees in Petroleum Engineering at Sharif University of Technology and elsewhere.
His research interests include reactive transport in porous media, carbon/hydrogen storage, and blockchain innovations for sustainability. He has published extensively, including books such as *Sustainable Oil and Gas using Blockchain* (2023). Recent work explores CO2 injection strategies, fracture orientation impacts on foam performance, and pore-scale dissolution mechanisms. He has received the Lynch Chair appointment and participates in high-profile conferences on energy transition and blockchain applications.
His lab (https://www.sarajiresearch.com/) focuses on experimental and computational studies of subsurface energy systems. Notable contributions include studies on nanofluid interfacial properties and in-situ wettability alteration. He advises graduate students in energy and petroleum engineering, though specific student names are not listed here.
