His research examines competing political theologies within Pakistan’s Deobandi Islamic tradition, analyzing mainstream and militant interpretations of Islamic authority, jihad, and transnational relations. The study uses textual analysis of religious decrees and organizational statements to clarify Deobandism’s role in global security dynamics.
Recent publications focus on inter-sectarian trust-building and the historical evolution of Deobandi political thought. His work has been presented at workshops hosted by the Leibniz Center for Modern Orient Research (Berlin), Humboldt University, and universities in Pakistan.
